All submissions to the 9th International Conference on Sustainable Future for Human Security (SUSTAIN 2025) will undergo an initial screening by the Secretariat Team to ensure completeness and compliance with submission guidelines before being forwarded to the International Scientific Committee.
The International Scientific Committee will determine whether the manuscript meets the conference’s thematic scope and quality standards for peer review. In cases where a member of the committee is listed as an author or has any competing interests related to a submitted paper, another qualified reviewer or editor will be assigned to manage the review process to ensure impartiality.
The peer review process at SUSTAIN 2025 follows a double-blind review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers are invited based on their expertise, publication record, professional reputation, and previous experience in reviewing conference or journal manuscripts.
Reviewers are expected to provide fair, detailed, and constructive feedback that supports the improvement of the manuscript, while adhering to academic integrity and confidentiality standards. Reviewers will submit their comments and recommendations through the conference’s online submission and review system.
The International Scientific Committee will consider the reviewers’ reports carefully but reserves the right to make independent editorial decisions. A single major concern raised by a reviewer or the committee itself may be sufficient to recommend rejection.
Based on the peer review outcomes, the editorial decision will fall into one of the following categories:
- Accept: The paper is accepted for presentation and publication without revision.
- Reject: The paper is not suitable for presentation or publication at SUSTAIN 2025.
Authors will receive the peer review reports along with the editorial decision via email. SUSTAIN 2025 is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and rigorous peer review process in alignment with international academic standards.
